Its officers are available 24/24 on a hotline to receive sudden requests for assistance.

People who need help can contact the embassy’s citizen protection hotline at +380 (63) 863 8999 or the consular department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at +84-981-848-484.

The ministry has asked the embassy to request local authorities to take measures to ensure the personal safety and properties of Vietnamese nationals and businesses.

Vietnam is following the recent “tense developments” in Ukraine and called on related parties to exercise restraint, strengthen dialogue and promote diplomatic efforts to peacefully resolve disagreements on the basis of respecting the United Nations Charter and basic principles of international law, Hang said.

This would contribute to ensuring peace, security and stability in the region and around the world, she said.
