Ukraine’s Security Service said it had arrested a TikToker accused of posting a video revealing the location of a military base in a shopping center in the capital Kiev. This location later became the target of an airstrike that killed eight people, according to Business Insider.

In the video released by the Security Service of Ukraine, the arrested man is named Pavel Alexandrevich.

“A TikToker posted an image of the location of Ukrainian military forces in the capital Kiev on the Internet. The shopping center, where many defensive soldiers are present, was hit by a Russian missile. or intentionally, this person has become an informant. An investigation is underway,” the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) said.

This person admitted to posting videos of the operation of Ukrainian military vehicles near the mall and urged people not to post such information on TikTok.

After the mall was hit by an airstrike, Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko urged people not to share pictures of “operations of military equipment, control points, strategic targets” on the Internet.

On March 21, the Russian Defense Ministry announced an attack on a shopping center used by Ukraine to store ammunition and missiles. The Ukrainian side did not specify whether military equipment was stored in this shopping center.
