Tibet Airlines plane crash, 36 injured

The plane crash happened at around 8:00 a.m. on May 12 (UTC+8), when a plane of Tibet Airlines took off from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport in Chongqing City, China.

Tibet Airlines Flight TV9833 veered off the runway while preparing to take off from Chongqing to Linzhi (Nyingchi) – a city located in the southeast of the Tibet Autonomous Region in China.

All 122 people, including 113 passengers and 9 crew members, were evacuated, of which 36 injured were taken to the city hospital. According to the crew, the plane had a problem during take-off and the flight was forced to be interrupted. The plane’s engine caught fire.

It is known that the plane that crashed of Tibet Airlines was an Airbus A319.
