Son Tung M-TP is fined 3050 USD, has to destroy all versions of the MV “There’s No One At All“, and completely removed the MV from the Internet. At the same time, hand over all the profit earned from this MV to the authorities.
On May 5, Son Tung M-TP did not appear at the headquarters of the authorities but he authorized his two representatives, including Mr. Nguyen Tran Duong (Nguyễn Trần Dương) – Sales and Business Development Director of M-TP Entertainment company.
According to the conclusion of the Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, Mr. Pham Cao Thai: “Son Tung M-TP and his company M-TP Entertainment have violated Clause 3, Article 13 of Decree 38/ 2021/Decree – Government”.
Specifically, the MV “There’s No One At All” contains a negative, provocative message with many scenes of chasing, smashing, violence, and ending extremely with the suicide scene that has a strong impact on people, the psychology of viewers, easily influencing and negatively affecting children.
According to the decision on administrative sanction, Son Tung M-TP must pay a fine of 3050 USD. In addition, M-TP Entertainment is responsible for destroying the “There’s No One At All” MV recording, returning the profit from the MV, and removing the “There’s No One At All” video recording completely on the Internet. This means that Son Tung M-TP cannot promote the MV or broadcast the MV abroad.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vietnam will also sanction organizations, individuals, and Youtube channels that saved, re-up, and react to the MV “There’s No One At All” on the Internet, following Vietnamese law.
