With an extremely cheap price – 429 USD, iPhone SE (iPhone SE 3) is the focus of public attention with the recent Apple event.
The new iPhone SE retains the design from the old generation, upgrades the A15 Bionic chip, 5G connectivity, and costs 30 USD higher.
iPhone SE 2022, launched during Apple’s online event this morning, inherits the design from 2017, used on iPhone 8 and SE 2020.
The product has a 4.7-inch screen with Retina HD resolution, aluminum frame, with thick screen border containing Touch ID fingerprint sensor and IP67 dust and water resistance. Apple said it has upgraded the materials on both sides of the device with new tempered glass, the type being used on the iPhone 13.
In terms of configuration, the device is equipped with an A15 Bionic chip similar to Apple’s high-end products, with 5G connectivity.
Apple says the new chip offers 1.8 times faster processing power, while the graphics processing capacity is 2.2 times faster than the iPhone 8.
Thanks to its strong configuration, iPhone SE 2022 integrates SmartHDR and Deep Fusion technology, helping to take better night and backlit photos. The device still uses a single 12-megapixel camera but can take portrait photos to remove fonts.
iPhone SE 2022 has a similar appearance to iPhone 8 and iPhone SE 2020.
Contrary to predictions about cheaper prices:
- iPhone SE 2022 starts at $429 for the 64GB version, $30 more than the previous generation.
- 128GB and 256GB memory versions are priced at $479 and $579 respectively.
Users have three color options: black, red, and white.
The device is expected to go on sale on March 18.
At this price, iPhone SE 2022 is 70 USD lower than iPhone 11 and 170 USD lower than iPhone 12 mini with the same memory capacity. This is also Apple’s cheapest phone model with 5G connectivity.
At the event, besides the new iPhone SE, Apple also launched a green version for iPhone 13.
