Angry because Nigeria was not allowed to attend the 2022 World Cup, Nigerian fans rioted in the stadium of the World Cup play-off match between Nigeria and Ghana. They smashed and destroyed.

On March 30, Nigeria and Ghana met again after a 0-0 draw in the first leg (the play-off of the 2022 World Cup). In the second leg, Nigeria had the home advantage. However, they were soon leading in the 10th minute after Thomas Partey‘s long shot.

Then, Nigeria got a goal from the penalty spot, William Troost-Ekong (who plays for Watford in the English Premier League) did successfully.

However, 1-1 is the final result of the match. This result caused Nigeria to be eliminated because of the away goals rule. This means they cannot go to Qatar for the 2022 World Cup.

Unable to control their anger, after the match ended, Nigerian fans immediately caused chaos and smashed everything they saw.

They threw bottles at players, Ghana Fans, smashed the goal… The aggression of Nigerian fans made Ghanaian players rush into the tunnel. Meanwhile, the away team’s fans also had to find a place to hide.
