1. Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Wan-Bissaka was bought from Crystal Palace for £ 50 million but he is a huge disappointment. Poor attack and defense. The English player did not attend in the starting line-up by Ralf Rangnick and was replaced by Diogo Dalot.
Erik ten Hag prefers full-backs with good attacking ability, Wan-Bissaka will have no chance to play for Man United. Currently, the Red Devils are looking to sell him to get back about half of the £50 million when bought him. Burnley, Everton, and Crystal Palace are potential landing clubs for him.
2. Anthony Martial
Martial had a poor season and his lack of confidence led him to be loaned to Sevilla in January. But in Spain, the Frenchman has not shown his ability and will be returned to Man United at the end of the season.
Erik ten Hag prefers to use strikers who are able to close to the opponent’s field as well as work hard to move. Therefore, Martial will have to sit on the bench. He was once considered a prodigy, but now he is in poor form. It is likely that the French striker will also be sold.
3. Cristiano Ronaldo
Ronaldo is worried about when Erik ten Hag arrives. He is just too old and not the type of striker to move hard. Above all, CR7 also leaves if Man United cannot attend the Champions League next season.
If he wants to complete the 2-year contract with the Red Devils, Ronaldo will have to sit on the bench. However, this will be impossible because CR7 is the type of player who always wants to score and get trophies. Ronaldo’s future at Old Trafford is quite uncertain.
4. David de Gea
De Gea is considered one of the best goalkeepers in Europe. However, in addition to this strength, he has many weaknesses. In the modern era, goalkeepers are expected to be able to deploy the ball from behind and be ready to play the role of sweeper. De Gea cannot do that.
Due to the inability to play with his feet, De Gea was no longer used by coach Luis Enrique in the Spain national team. It wouldn’t be surprising that De Gea will be abandoned by Erik ten Hag. However, the high salary at Man United will prevent De Gea from leaving.
5. Scott McTominay
McTominay has been a regular starter for Man United this season. Although he always tries to participate in attack and defense, with great physicality. But it is not enough for Man United to dominate in possession.
The Scotsman lacked the ability to control the game, which is important in an organizing midfielder. If he cannot improve his passing skills, it will be difficult for McTominay to play regularly under the management of Erik ten Hag.
